Sand art

Recently, I visited Puri. It is a beautiful coastal city in Odisha. Hindus consider it as one of the four "Dhams"; the other three being - Badrinath, Rameshwaram and Dwarika. It is also famous for sand art and it's patron artist, Sudarshan Patnayak.

While strolling along the Golden Beach, we met Mr. Alok, a sand artist. In the picture, you can see him making the sculpture of Lord Shiva from the sand. He was so good that we got inspired.

I and my sister made many things but a castle and a sculpture of Lord Ganesha turned out to be the most beautiful one.
Making a sand art is real fun! All you need is a little imagination. You need to remember only two things - first the sand should be moist for better sticking. Secondly, the beach is home to innumerous crabs that come out from the sand time to time. So be careful while making sand art.

So next time when you are on the beach , make a sand art and send it's picture to me and tell me whether you enjoyed it or not.
